Scope of functions
PayByTime calculates approximately how much personal working time is behind a desired amount. The calculation is based on locally stored information such as working time, net income, income currency and optional working days and commuting time. The app is an orientation tool and does not provide financial advice.

Is personal app data transferred?
No. Personal app data remains locally on the device.
Is a user account required?
No. PayByTime works without registration and without login.
Why are exchange rates manual?
The app is deliberately designed without an automatic exchange-rate API, provider backend, API key or automatic rate takeover. External research is opened only by intentional user action.
What does the app use the camera for?
The camera is used only for an intentionally started price-tag scan or OCR-supported amount recognition. Recognized amounts can be checked and corrected.
Which app version is this support page prepared for?
This support page is aligned with PayByTime version 1.0.0 and the current release-candidate status.
Does PayByTime support iPad?
Yes. PayByTime is prepared for iPhone and iPad; the layout intentionally remains smartphone-oriented.

When reporting an issue, helpful details include the device used, iOS version, app version, input situation, expected result and observed behavior. Please do not send unnecessary personal financial data.
Need help using the app?
The guide contains short videos for setup, camera access and scanning prices. The current videos may still contain German app screens until English screenshots and videos are produced.
