This privacy policy explains data processing in the iOS app PayByTime. The app is designed as a local orientation tool for iPhone and iPad. Personal app data is not transferred to the provider.

2. App data processed locally
PayByTime may process and store the following information locally on the device:
- weekly working time
- monthly net income
- income currency
- working days per week
- commuting time
- manually maintained orientation exchange rates
- app settings, especially language, camera setting and detail-result display
This information remains on the device. The provider does not receive access to this data and cannot read it.
3. Purposes and legal bases
Local processing is carried out to provide the calculations, settings and app functions requested by the user. Where personal data is concerned, processing is based on Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for use of the app functions and, additionally, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for a stable, data-minimizing and user-friendly app function.
4. Storage period
Locally stored information remains stored until it is changed in the app, deleted through the intended settings, or removed by deleting the app or app data from the device.
5. No registration, no tracking, no provider backend
PayByTime requires no user account, registration or login. The app contains no advertising, analytics or tracking. There is no provider backend through which personal app data is transferred to the provider.
6. Camera and price-tag scan
The camera is used only when the camera function is intentionally opened. It is used to scan price tags or recognize an amount with OCR support. Photos are not transferred to the provider. Recognized amounts can be checked or corrected before further use.
7. Exchange rates and external research
PayByTime is not a live exchange-rate app. Exchange rates are maintained locally as manual orientation rates. There is no automatic exchange-rate API, no automatic rate query and no automatic rate takeover. External research is opened only by intentional user action; researched information must be assessed and adopted by the user.
8. No financial advice
PayByTime provides only a calculation-based orientation. The app does not replace financial advice, tax advice or binding exchange-rate information.
9. Data subject rights
Data subjects have rights under the GDPR, including rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection to certain processing. There is also a right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
10. App version and changes
This privacy policy is aligned with PayByTime version 1.0.0 and the current data-minimizing release-candidate status. If app functions or data processing change, this privacy policy must be updated accordingly.
